Mvurya challenges Harambee Stars to perform well in CHAN

Sports CS Salim Mvurya, has challenged the national team players to seize the home advantage and perform well during the 8th African Nations Championship set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania between the 2nd and 30th of next month.
Mvurya said this on Thursday when he witnessed the unveiling of Harambee Stars’s provisional squad for the tournament.
Harambee Stars officially commenced their residential camp today in preparation for the upcoming CHAN 2024 tournament.
“Seize this moment you carry the hopes and dreams of more than 50 million Kenyans. Compete with honour, and play with heart, because when you rise, Kenya rises. The nation stands firmly behind you.” Said Mvurya

The CS urged Kenyans to support the Harambee Stars by showing up in large numbers.
“I urge all Kenyans to come together, not just in support of a football team, but in celebration of our unity, national pride, and unwavering patriotism. Let us show the world that supporting Harambee Stars goes beyond cheering from the stands; it is a declaration of love for our country, as one people, one flag, one nation.” The CS stated
Harambee Stars, which will play all its Group A CHAN fixtures at the newly renovated Kasarani Stadium, will open its campaign against two-time champion the Leopards of D.R. Congo on the 3rd of August.
Kenya will then face the Palancas Negras from Angola on the 7th, before locking horns against two-time champion Atlas Lions from Morocco on the 10th, and conclude its group fixtures on the 17th against Zambia’s Chipolopolo.
