2024 CHAN:Atlas Lion trample on the Sable Antelopes to command Group A

Morocco began their hunt for a third African Nations Championship with a comortbale 2-0 win over Angola in group A match on Sunday evening at the Nyayo national Stadium.

RS Berkane midfielder Imad Riahi put the Atlas Lions ahead in the 29th minute connecting with skipper Mohammed Hrimat  pass .

Morocco went into the interval with a slender lead.

The Angolans returned from the break strongly going all out attacking but Morocco defence was alert to keep their goal shut.

The North Africans in the 81st minute when defender Quinto put the ball into his own as he tried to clear the ball.

Morocco now lead the group on 3 points same as Kenya but with superior goal difference.
