
Angola will be playing in their fifth CHAN edition their best result being a fourth finish in Morocco in 2011.
The Palancas Negras, or Sable Antelopes, who were recently crowned the COSAFA regional champions for a 2nd time in a row and 5th overall, last appeared in the 2022 CHAN tournament.
Under coach Pedro Gonçalves, Angola are amongst the strongest teams from the Southern African region.

The Sable Antelopes secured their seventh CHAN appearance by defeating Lesotho over two legs, which sent them to the finals.
Angola’s coach, Pedro Gonçalves, 48, has been in charge of the squad since 2018 and has lead them to the 2024 AFCON championships quarterfinals in Côte d’Ivoire.
