One person feared trapped after building collapse in Majengo, Mombasa

A building under construction in Majengo, Mombasa County, collapsed earlier Monday, prompting a swift response from authorities.
According to the Kenya Red Cross on X, two individuals have been rescued, but one person remains feared trapped under the rubble.
A multi-agency response team, including personnel from the Kenya Police, the County Government of Mombasa, and the Kenya Red Cross, has been deployed to the scene.
The team is currently carrying out search and rescue operations in an effort to locate anyone still trapped inside the collapsed structure.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the collapse, but investigations are underway as the teams work to ensure the safety of any other potential victims.
