Former IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati is dead

Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati is dead.
Chebukati passed away Thursday night while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi Hospital.
Chebukati served as the IEBC chairperson from 2017 on a six-year tenure until his retirement in 2023 January after overseeing his second General Elections in August 2022.
He succeeded Ahmed Isaack Hassan, the first IEBC Chairperson under the new Constitution 2010.
