
Tanzania will mark their third participation in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 as co-hosts.
For the first time in their history, the Taifa Stars will try to use home advantage to advance past the group stage with the pride and fervour of a country behind them.
Tanzania will face Burkina Faso in the opening match this Saturday in a Group B fixture at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Other teams in the group togther with Tanzania include Madagascar, Mauritania, and the Central African Republic.
Qualification
As one of the three co-hosts, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda guaranteed their spot in the competition.
Star Player-Feisal Salum
Having scored twice in the AFCON qualifiers, Salum has already shown his class as a creative midfielder with a knack for goal. In midfield, his poise and vision will be crucial.
Coach-Hemed Morocco
He is known for his aggressive style and tactical discipline, will captain Tanzania as they look to create a historic impression in the CHAN competition.
