    Nameless and Wahu mourn the loss of their father

    Kenyan music power couple Nameless and Wahu are mourning the loss of their father, whose passing they announced on social media.

    While the two artists have not shared further details about the circumstances surrounding his death, they each took to Instagram to pay heartfelt tribute to the late family patriarch.

    Nameless, born David Mathenge, expressed his deep gratitude in a short but emotional post.

    “Rest well, Daddy. I am blessed beyond measure to have had you as a father!” he wrote, sharing a photo in remembrance.

    Wahu, his wife and fellow celebrated musician, also honoured her late father-in-law with a loving tribute.

    “An amazing father in love. We thank God for the full life, your warmth, wisdom and everything that you were. Until we meet again. Rest with the angels, Dad.”

    The couple, who have been married since 2005, are among Kenya’s most respected music figures and are known for often sharing glimpses of their family life with fans.

    The news has drawn messages of condolence and support from fans and fellow artists alike, who continue to send love to the family during this difficult time.

    Radio Personality Tallia Oyando consoled Nameless with the comment, “Sending love always” while award-winning artist Bien wrote, “Pole Bro.”

    Music collaborator Kristoff, film director Philip Karanja, stylist Brian Babu and actress Nancy Wanjiku, better known as Shix Kapienga, also shared their messages of solidarity and condolences.

    Nameless and Wahu reflect on their marriage on 18 years later

    Celebrity power couple and musicians Nameless and Wahu are celebrating 18 years of marriage.

    The couple, who first met while they were students at the University of Nairobi, took the time to reflect on their marriage with “gratitude.”

    “We can’t help but reflect with gratitude on a journey of great highs and lows lows, memorable joys and unfortunate pains that we have shared together,” they said.

    Adding that they had learned that even while fighting to do with love and understanding.

    “We have fought and made up, we’ve had miss-understandings (sic) but always strived to understand each other over the years. But what’s for sure, we are better individuals and partners because of this union.”

    This isn’t the first time the two are talking about their ups and downs, they both went into detail about the lows of their marriage in the Showmax reality series based on their life called “This Love.”

    Nameless also took the time to thank his fans for loving and respecting Wahu throughout their 18-year marriage: “Thank you fam for showing the M’z love throughout our journey.”

    Nameless and Wahu share three children, Tumiso, Nyakio and Shiru who was born last year in October. The two have been in the spotlight since the late 90s and early 2000s when they debuted in the music industry – Nameless in 1999 with “Megarider” and Wahu with “Niangalie” in 2000. The two released their first song together in 2021 called “Back It Up.”

    Nameless Denies Reports that he Underwent Vasectomy

    Musician David Mathenge popularly known as Nameless has refuted claims that he had a vasectomy as a form of family planning. During an interview on Friday the artist said tha he and his wife Wahu have decided to close the chapter of having children after having three daughters. Nameless said they are okay with having female children only.

    Today, through his social media handles the musician has explained that he has not yet gone for vasectomy but is thinking about it. He shared a poster done by one of the online news sources that claims he had already gone through the family planning procedure and clarified that he hasn’t.

    Nameless and Wahu were speaking at an interview with YouTuber Vincent Mboya at State House Nairobi where they were attending the launch of Talanta Hela. Wahu said she always wanted to have three children and now she is satisfied.

    The Musical couple has three daughters Tumiso, Nyakio and Shiru.
