    Naivas FC to play Posta Rangers today in FKF Premier League play off

    National Super League side Naivas FC will face Posta Rangers in the 1st leg of the Football Kenya Premier League promotion/relegation match today from 3pm at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.

    Naivas booked their slot in the playoffs after finishing 3rd in the NSL 2024/2025 season, while Posta Rangers survived relegation after finishing 16th in the top-tier league.

    The two teams will clash again in the return leg at the Murang’a SportPesa Arena on 2nd July, with the overall winner earning a slot in the 2025/2026 FKF Premier League, while the loser will have to navigate through the NSL next season.

    Police FC crowned FKF Premier League Champions

    Police FC were on Sunday evening crowned the Football Kenya Federation Premier League Champions for the 1st time in the club’s history.

    Police FC were awarded the trophy in a colourful ceremony after their 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia in the last match of the season played at the Ulinzi Complex.

    The coronation ceremony was attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen and his PS Dr Raymond Omollo and FKF Vice President McDonald Mariga.

    Police FC finished the season with 65 points fromĀ  34 matches, winning 18, drawing 11 and losing 5 matches.

    Gor Mahia finished 2nd on 59 points, followed by Kakamega Homeboyz on 58, a point ahead of 4th placed Tusker FC, while Shabana FC completes the top 5 on 53 points.

    Coached by Burundian Etienne Ndayiragije, Police FC won their maiden league title barely four sinceĀ  earning promotion after being crowned the NSL champions in September 2021.

    The team will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season after competing in the CAF Confederation Cup this season, where they were eliminated by Egyptian side Zamalek FC in the 2nd preliminary round last September.

    Kakamega Homeboyz forward Moses Shumah won the golden boot award after bagging 17 goals.
