    Tickets go on sale for Bien’s Kenyan tour

    Bien-Aimé Baraza’s Kenyan leg of the Alusa Continua tour is set for September in Eldoret, Meru and Nairobi.

    This leg of the tour is part of the East Africa Edition following Bien’s successful tour of Europe and the US. The “All My Enemies Are Suffering” singer is still expected to perform in Norwich on August 16 and in Phoenix, Arizona on August 29.

    For his Kenyan fans, tickets are on sale for KSh. 1,500 (Advance) and KSh. 5,000 (VIP) for Meru and Eldoret, while Nairobi tickets are retailing at KSh. 3,500 (Advance) and Ksh. 7,500 (VIP) respectively.

    The shows will take place on September 6 at the Eldoret Sports Club, September 13 at the Meru National Polytechnic and at the Ulinzi Sports complex, Langata on Spetember 20.

    Tanzanian leg cancelled

    The Alusa Continua Tour was also expected to take place in Arusha, Dar es Salaam, and Mwanza in August but has since been cancelled.

    Bien, who announced the news, attributed the change to “unforeseen challenges with the local event organisers.”

    “We were truly looking forward to bringing the Alusa Continua tour to Arusha, Dar es Salaam, and Mwanza this August,” the statement read. “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen challenges with the local event organisers who have been unresponsive despite our consistent efforts to coordinate and move plans forward, we regret to inform you that we must postpone the Tanzanian leg of the tour.”

    The musician further expressed his love for the country, apologising for any “inconvenience caused.”

    “Tanzania holds a special place in Bien’s heart, and it deeply saddens us to delay this moment of music, joy, and connection. We understand how disappointing this news may be, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

    Bien visits Harambee stars ahead of CHAN match

    Kenyan artist Bien-Aime Baraza visited the Harambee Stars’ camp at Kasarani, where the team is training ahead of their CHAN match set for Sunday, August 3.

    The “Lifestyle” star was captured on film singing and chanting the lyrics to his new single “All My Enemies Are Suffering” with the team.

    Bien, who has had a successful world tour so far, culminating in a sold-out show at Indigo venue with the O2 arena in London, extended an invitation for the team to attend his show when he begins his tour of East Africa which begins in August through to September.

    The tour has been in support of his debut album, Alusa Why Are You Topless? released November 2023.

    Tickets for Kenya’s opening game, at the African Nations Championships [CHAN 2024] against DR Congo are sold out – six days before the match.

    This comes days after the Local Organising Committee (LOC) chair Nicholas Musonye stated that there will be no ticket sales on match days during the competition.

    The game is set for the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi this Sunday, from 3 pm.

    Bien performs at sold out Indigo concert at O2 arena

    Kenyan Afro-pop star Bien delivered a powerful and soulful performance at the Indigo at The O₂ arena in London over the weekend, marking a major milestone in his solo European tour.

    The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter of the celebrated band Sauti Sol performed to a packed house at the 2,750-capacity venue nestled within The O₂ complex.

    The event, presented by Columbo Music, was “his biggest solo show in the UK to date” according to the venue and drew fans from across the city and beyond.

    Bien performed hits from his critically acclaimed debut solo album Alusa Why Are You Topless, alongside fan favourites from his earlier EP Bald Men Love Better. The set also included newer songs “Katam”, his recent collaboration with Diamond, and “All My Enemies Are Suffering”.

    Backed by a full live band, Bien’s performance blended soul, R&B, and Afro-fusion, wrapped in storytelling that reflected both his musical journey and personal growth.

    Fans who attended the event have been sharing videos and pictures online, praising Bien for his performance, the show’s vibrant atmosphere, excellent sound quality, and Bien’s undeniable stage presence. Some have called the performance “a new high for East African music in the UK.”

    Bien announces E. African tour, new album

    Kenyan singer-songwriter Bien-Aimé Baraza, widely known as Bien and a founding member of the acclaimed band Sauti Sol, has announced a solo tour of East Africa set for August and September this year.

    In 2024, Bien set out on a solo tour in support of his debut album, Alusa Why Are You Topless? released November 2023.

    The 16-track album showcases his versatility, blending Afrobeats, R&B, and Afropop, and features collaborations with artists like Ayra Starr, Ms Banks, Scar Mkadinali, Tay Iwar, and DJ Edu. Notable tracks include “Lifestyle” “My Baby,” and “Too Easy.”

    His new tour, which begins in Europe and the United States in May, June and July, will be in support of a new album, ‘Aluta continua’.

    Announcing the news, Bien likened his first tour to walking and said he was ready to do it again.

    “Now that I have practised walking, it’s time to run, ‘Alusa Continua’ is out soon, and I’m back on the road! Find me in the US and Europe in May, June and July,” he said announcing the new album.

    Sharing a video of his past tours, he said that the details of his upcoming E. African dates would be announced later.

    “But, home is where the heart is. East Africa, I am also bringing my full tour home. August and September, niko home. Full details coming soon,” he added.

    The upcoming tour is set to be a crowning moment for what has already been a stellar year for Bien.

    In February, he won a Best Artist in East Africa award at the Trace Awards and performed his fan favourite verse of the song “Nairobi” at the ceremony. He also scooped two awards at the East Africa Arts Entertainment Awards, taking home 3 awards: Best Male Artist, Best Male Live Performer and an award for Best Collaboration for the song “Nairobi” alongside Marioo.
