Strathmore Leos crowned Prinsloo 7’s winners

Strathmore Leos conquered the soggy conditions at Nakuru Athletics Club to clinch the second leg of the SportPesa National 7s, overpowering Kenya Commercial Bank 24-7 in the final.

The agile Leos dominated early, establishing a 24-7 lead by halftime.

In the first semifinal, Strathmore Leos thrashed Catholic Monks 40-0, while KCB edged past Menengai Oilers 10-5 in a tightly contested clash.

Earlier in the Cup quarterfinals, Strathmore Leos cruised past Kenya Harlequins with a commanding 33-0 victory.

Catholic Monks secured their semifinal slot after edging Mwamba RFC 12-7. Menengai Oilers displayed their physical prowess against local foes Nakuru RFC, narrowly winning 7-0, with Fortune Aturo scoring the match’s only try, skilfully converted by Dennis Abukuse.

In the women’s competition, Mwamba RFC claimed the title after defeating Kenya Harlequins 15-10, thanks to Edith Naliaka’s heroic performance.
