Siaya: Two suspects linked to police killing shot dead

Two suspects linked to the killing of a police officer in Hawinga, Siaya County this week have been shot dead.
Confirming the incident, the National Police Service (NPS) said they recovered the two firearms lost in the incident where one NPS Officer was killed and the other seriously injured.
The two officers were ambushed while escorting KCSE papers to Mahero Secondary School in Siaya County.
“The MP5 and AK47 Rifle were recovered at Hawinga from the house of Sheikh Rashid who escaped the police dragnet, while two suspects were fatally wounded,” said NPS.
The National Police Service reiterated its commitment to serve and to protect.
