Ruto to open Roysambu Military Housing Project today

President William Ruto Thursday afternoon is expected to join the Kenya Defences Forces (KDF) in opening the Roysambu Military Housing Project in Nairobi County.
The Head of State will be joined by Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya, Chief of the Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri among other invited guests.
KDF said the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project aims at addressing the accommodation deficit within the KDF and providing service members with decent and modern homes that enhance their welfare.
The 500-unit estate is part of the first phase of an ambitious housing programme by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to bridge the acute accommodation deficit facing KDF.
The Roysambu housing project is part of a nationwide 3,069 units intervention being undertaken through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The 500 houses at Roysambu are organized in 26 blocks, comprising of both single and married quarters.
Phase two of the KDF housing programme to deliver 10,000 houses is also underway in Embakasi, Kahawa and Lang’ata Garissons.
