Ruto reaffirms government’s commitment to improve sports infrastructure

President William Ruto has reiterated his government’s commitment to continue improving sports infrastructure in the country and to support sports development.

The President said this today at State House Nairobi when he hosted the Police FC and Police Bullets teams for breakfast after winning Football Kenya Federation league titles this season.

“We will continue to dedicate resources to make sure we build the infrastructure that will support the great talents that we have in sports,” he said.

President Ruto pointed out that the government is building the largest football stadium in Kenya and the region, which will be completed by December this year.

He said the government is developing 37 sports academies across the country.

The president appealed to companies and philanthropic organizations to step up and support sports teams from the grassroots to nurture talents nationwide.

Cabinet Secretaries Kipchumba Murkomen (Interior), Salim Mvurya (Sports), and Hassan Ali Joho (Blue Economy), as well as Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, were present.
