PSG overpowers Inter Miami, advances to Club World Cup Quarters 

Paris Saint-Germain delivered a dominant performance, defeating Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 in the last 16 of the Club World Cup.

Joao Neves was the standout player, scoring twice, while an own goal and a strike by Achraf Hakimi sealed the victory by halftime.

The match took place at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where PSG showcased their superiority, holding Miami without a shot attempt for the first 50 minutes.

Neves opened the scoring early with a headed goal from a free kick, and he later doubled the lead after a swift passing sequence. Miami’s struggles continued when Tomas Aviles inadvertently scored an own goal, followed by Hakimi’s rebound strike to make it 4-0.

Messi, facing his former club for the first time since leaving PSG, managed only a few attempts, with his best chance coming late in the game, forcing a save from Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Neves expressed his joy after the match, stating, “It is the first time I have scored two goals in one game, so I am very happy. But I am happier for the win.”

Inter Miami’s coach, Javier Mascherano, acknowledged the challenge, saying, “We knew today was going to be very, very difficult. They PSGare probably the best team in the world.” He said

PSG will now advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of the Bayern Munich vs. Flamengo match.
