Police seize bhang worth Ksh 5M in Thika

Police officers in Thika Sub-County have seized a vehicle transporting seven sacks of bhang valued at approximately Ksh 5 million, the three men alleged to be transporting the sacks managed to escape arrest.
Thika Sub-County Police Commander Lawrence Muchangi said the operation was a collaborative effort between law enforcement officers and community policing members.
Authorities believed the sting targeted a notorious drug leader who has been on their watch list and has previously faced multiple arrests on similar charges at Kimuchu Police post.
The impounded vehicle is currently being held at Kimuchu police post as investigations continue.
