Over 400 residents in Kibera benefit from free medical camp

Over 400 residents of Kibera in Nairobi County have received free medical services during a health outreach held to commemorate World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

The two-day medical camp, hosted at Our Lady of Lourdes Olympic Kibera, offered general medical consultations, diabetic screening, and eye checkups.

The free medical camp was organised by the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross Society.

Iran’s Ambassador to Kenya, Dr. Ali Gholampour, and Kenya Red Cross Secretary General, Dr. Ahmed Idris, pledged to partner to continue supporting vulnerable communities to access medical treatment and support patients with terminal ailments.

They expressed their commitment to serving humanity urging Kenyans to take advantage of the free medical services to check their health status.
