Newsline: Commuters to pay more from 5th July, 2023

Commuters using public service vehicles will from 5th July pay more after Matatu owners’ association announced plans to increase fare. The association said the decision had been reached at after Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority revised VAT on petroleum products from 8% to 16%.

The fare will be increased from between 10 shillings to 30 shillings in Nairobi and its environs.
