Nairobi Senator Sifuna barred from attending three Senate sittings

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has been barred from attending three sittings of the Senate.
The ban began Tuesday afternoon.
While making the ruling the Speaker of the Senate Amason Jeffa Kingi accused the senator of shouting at the speaker’s procession on Thursday evening when the Senate adjourned.
The sitting on Thursday afternoon was led by nominated senator Veronica Maina who is also part of the speaker panel.
According to the speaker of the senate, the act by the senator amounted to gross misconduct as enshrined in standing order 122 (k) of the Senate.
Sifuna´s suspension from senate sitting will elapse on Thursday midnight.
