MP Sunkuyia arrested for allegedly forging academic papers

Kajiado West Member of Parliament George Sunkuyia has been arrested by officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for allegedly forging a KCSE certificate.
According to EACC, the legislator is set to be charged with providing false information to the Commission, forgery and uttering a false document.

“On 30th day of January 2012 at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Juja within Kiambu County, knowingly and fraudulentely uttered to the Registrar Academic Affairs JKUAT, a forged a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Serial No. 2988068, with a mean Grade of C+ purporting it to be a genuine certificate issued to you by the Kenya National Examination Council,” read the charge sheet seen by KBC Digital.

The Commission says it is currently processing the lawmaker for arraignment in court this morning.
