Morocco: Princess Lalla Hasnaa chairs first board meeting in Rabat

Princess Lalla Hasnaa of Morocco chaired the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the eponymous foundation at the Théâtre Royal in Rabat on Thursday May 15, in the presence of Brigitte Macron, wife of the French President.
The Royal Theatre in Rabat is the brainchild of King Mohammed VI, and embodies the sovereign’s constant concern for art and culture.
The eponymous foundation, presided over by Princess Lalla Hasnaa, is responsible for establishing the institution’s strategic orientations an international Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is made up of leading figures from a variety of backgrounds, including Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, President of Qatar’s public museum authority; Brigitte Macron; Othman Benjelloun; Michael Zaoui; Makhtar Diop; Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo; Gad Elmaleh; Michel Canesi; Hélène Mercier-Arnault; Farid Bensaïd and Mohamed Yacoubi.
The theater, the fruit of HM King Mohammed VI’s enlightened vision, embodies the High Royal Solicitude in favor of art and culture. The Foundation’s ambition is to make it a center of artistic excellence and a place of cultural influence.
