Meru Governor Mwangaza officially joins UDA

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has officially joined United Democratic Alliance party.
Speaking at UDA party headquarters in Nairobi, Mwangaza said she will defend her governor’s seat on the new found political outfit in 2027.
Mwangaza officially joined the UDA party on Tuesday at the Hustler Centre was received by UDA chairperson Cecily Mbarire and Secretary General Cleophas Malalah.
Mwangaza was elected as governor in 2022 on an independent candidate ticket.
The Governor who has survived two impeachment motions at the Senate, appealed to Members of the County Assembly in Meru to work hand in hand with her for the benefit of the locals, claiming that a majority are members of UDA.
The UDA party members further added that it was time for reconciliation in Meru County which has been rocked by political wrangles.
