MC Alger clinched a ninth Algerian Ligue 1 title and a second in succession following a scoreless draw with relegated Nejm Mogra, on the final day of the 2024-25 season at the 5 July Stadium in Algiers on Saturday night.
The point propelled Khaled Ben Yahia’s team to 58 points, two ahead of arch rivals JS Kabylie, who leapfrogged CR Belouizdad into second place courtesy to their own win elsewhere.
MC Alger is the country’s third-most decorated league club, after only Kabylie (14) and Belouizdad (10).
MC Alger will return to the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League next season, having lost to Orlando Pirates in the quarter-finals last season.
MC Alger will return to action in late August, beginning their Champions League campaign in the second qualifying round.
