Machakos: Man gets life sentence for defiling two girls

A middle-aged man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling two minors.

Kithimani Senior Principal Magistrate Khapoya Tuesday jailed Isiah Maweu Lucas for life after he was found guilty of defiling two minors contrary to section 8(1)(2) of the Sexual Offences Act.

The court heard that Maweu lured the minors by promising to give them fish from River Athi.

The two girls fell for his tricks and were later found naked in a thicket by the grandmother and neighbour.

According to the Magistrate, testimonies from six prosecution witnesses placed the accused at the scene of the crime and proved that indeed he committed the heinous act on the minors.

The matter was prosecuted by Wamuyu Ngugi.
