Kindiki extends orders declaring parts of Marsabit as disturbed

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has extended orders declaring 13 areas in Marsabit County as security disturbed and dangerous.
In a gazette notice dated October 4th, CS Kindiki said that the order will apply for more 30 days effective October 4, 2024.
The 13 areas are located within the General Hillo area in the Dabel Location of the Golbo Division within Marsabit County.
Following the directive issued by Kindiki, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has issued directives declaring that no person in the declared areas should possess any arms.
The Inspector General ordered all persons in the mentioned areas wielding any arms to surrender them to the nearest police station during the day.
