Kenyan trials for World Championships set for 1st and 2nd August

The national trials to select Team Kenya for the 20th World Athletics Championships will be held in Nairobi between 1st and 2nd August this year.
Athletics Kenya moved the trials from the initial dates of between 26 and 27th of July.
All athletes who will be invited for the two-day trials must have met the set qualification times and undergone mandatory anti-doping tests as per the Athletes Integrity Unit.
The first trials for 10,000m men and 5,000m women will be held in the USA during the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League on 5th July.
Selected athletes will proceed to a residential training camp locally, while sprinters will camp in Miramas, Marseille, France, ahead of the 20th World Athletics Championships scheduled for between 13th and 21st September 2025.
