Kenya and the United Kingdom are reviewing their Strategic Partnership Agreement for 2025–2030 to enhance mutual growth and cooperation, President William Ruto has said.

Ruto, who hosted British High Commissioner Neil Wigan at State House Nairobi, said the discussions focused on deepening collaboration in economic development, technology, innovation, and research.

“The United Kingdom remains one of Kenya’s key strategic partners. As we strengthen this relationship, we are reviewing our Strategic Partnership Agreement for 2025–2030 to further enhance mutual growth and cooperation,” said Ruto.

He noted that both countries are keen on advancing priority projects, including the Nairobi Railway City and climate action under the Africa Green Industrialisation Initiative.

The meeting also addressed regional peace and security, particularly in the Great Lakes region and the Horn of Africa.
