HAPPENING NOW: Nairobi OCS Talam in court over death of Albert Ojwang

Nairobi Central Police Station OCS, Samson Talam is currently at the Milimani Law Courts in connection with the death of social media influencer and teacher, Albert Ojwang.
Talam was named by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss during a Senate grilling session as the prime suspect in the mysterious death of the 31-year-old that has sparked public outrage.
The officer who is appearing before Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi through his lawyer has maintained his innocence, claiming he was not present at the station when Ojwang was brought in.
He stated that he only arrived later after being informed of Ojwang’s critical condition.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
