Gambia to host Gabon in Kasarani in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier

The Gambia national team will host Gabon in the FIFA 2026 World Cup Group F crucial penultimate match this Friday, 10th October, at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.
The Scorpions of Gambia will conduct their 1st training session today evening at the Kasarani Annex ahead of their fixture, which is likely to seal the fate of Group F.
Gabon lies 2nd in the group F on 19 points, a point behind African champions Ivory Coast, who will be playing away to Seychelles.
Gambia are already out of contention for their maiden World Cup ticket but will aim to end their campaign high, occupying 3rd position on 10 points.
Ivory Coast will wind up their assignment next Tuesday against Kenya in Abidjan, as Gabon will be hosting Burundi in the 10pm kick-offs.
The top team in each group will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, while the four third best placed teams will qualify for a play-off, after which 1 team will seal the last one slot.
