
Tanzania has named a 27-man squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), with Simba and Azam FC contributing six players each, while league champions Yanga has four players.
Head coach Hemed Suleiman’s squad has an experienced team following the success of Simba, who won silver medal in the CAF Confederation Cup, and Yanga, who won the league.
Taifa Stars will play the tournament opening match against Burkina Faso on the 2nd of next month at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Group B.
Other teams in the group include Madagascar,Mauritania and Central Africa Republic.
