Business Registration Service (BRS) has reported an outage that has affected two of its critical services on eCitizen platform.

According to BRS Director General Kenneth Gathuma the technical glitch has affected the Official Search, commonly known as (“CR12” and “CR13”) for Private & Public Limited Companies and Business Names leading to their unavailability to the public.

“Our customers and the public are also experiencing intermittent disruptions
when accessing other services on both the brs.ecitizen.go.ke and
brsv2.ecitizen.go.ke.,” said Gathuma in a notice published Wednesday.

Gathuma says BRS is currently effort to ensure normal service delivery resumes as soon as possible.

BRS which is domiciled at the Office of the Attorney General is mandated to carry out registration of companies, partnerships and firms, and corporations carrying on business under a business name, bankruptcy, hire-purchase, and security rights.
